I think ignorance is the root of all evil, and greed is just one manifestation of ignorance.

Fact from fiction, truth from diction. Greed is not the root to all evil anymore than sex, selfishness, anger ot anything else. One could say controled greed has some root in ambitions. Greed is more a product of selfisness.
