As much as it wants to drink. In warmer climates it will drink more water then in colder climates.

As if you have a choice. They'll drink exactly as much as they want to drink.

It depends on their diet. My cat, Killer, ate mostly canned food. He seldom drank water. But, the vet said he was getting enough from his canned food, so I shouldn't worry about it. Some of my other cats drink a lot of water. But, they seldom eat canned food. Also, they drink more if I keep it fresh.

Cats don't require a lot of water so, by our standards, they drink very little and a lot less then dogs, for example. Infact, it is usually not a good sign if a cat drinks a lot, which could indicate kidney problems.

enough water is alredy in what the eat, so they cover their water daily need. what they get from other sides if just to fill the plate, cats really need few water to live. beware.

i would just leave water out all the time and just let him drink as much as he wants
