I am both, so I never have to chose. So are you. =)
-
Smart, for some reason when I think of soemone being clever I think of them as a sly or sneaky person.
-
neither smart or stupid but in between, smart people thrive onit but my girlfriend by her own words is a little slow, i.e (our engine in the car blew up recently and we had to walk everywhere and she said "god doesent it feel so longer on foot") but saying that its one of the most things i enjoy about her she makes me laugh in a way i nearly cry.
-
I'll rather be smart
-
This is probably me having one of my 'British moments', but what's the difference between clever and smart?
-
I'm a lot more clever than I am smart, and I think I'd like to keep it that way.
-
Smart... why bother trying to be clever It just causes trouble!
-
Hi Idne! I am not too well educated, but I manage to get by, so I guess I am more clever than smart. I would like to add some smart to my clever!
-
I would rather be intelligent and witty.
-
Smart is great but clever goes further because it incorporates not only smarts but also wisdom.
-
I'd like to be clever enough to know how to become smart!!
-
Clever of course. You could be dumb as a brick, but if you are clever enough, people won't ever have to know that.
-
+3 idne... clever can always outmanuver smart. in the same way "old and cunning always outlasts young and entergetic"
-
If my name was Trever Bart I wouldn't have too many difficulties with either.
-
I would rather be clever because to me, cleverness would be more useful than being smart.
-
Clever Smart has some negative connotations (e.g. smartass)
-
I believe if your too smart but not clever you will be taken advantage of by clever types who are smart enough to manipulate. Whereas many cartoon and comedy has shown us that being real clever but none too smart will likely as not lead to disastrous results, as will being real "Booksmart" but NONE too clever. I believe a good mix of both are necessary to make it in todays world, but I fear I lack a great deal of both!
-
Semantics. But, clever has many connotations, many of which I like. Clever seems like "applied smarts". Without smarts, how clever can one actually be? Clever trumps smart, to be brief!
-
zhmmm . . . smart is good, but being clever means a peron can use those smarts, so BOTH!!!!
-
I wish I had the brain of Albert Einstien.
-
I would be clever.
-
both :P lol
-
I would like to be both, but clever for sure
-
Clever. I think you need to be pretty smart to be clever, but just in a different sort of way. And clever people are better at making people laugh or smile than just plain old smart people are.
