Maybe not bad, but I wouldn't use it... the oil has gone rancid, meaning some of the medicinal properties are lost, but the oil is not toxic -- I find the smell too yucky to rub into my skin.

Every lotion has a smell even the unscented ones

If it smells funny or bad, I wouldn't use it. It won't hurt you, but you don't want to smell like that!

I have never known of lotion going bad thats a new one for me I know there is alot of lotions out there that really don't smell good.

If it smells noticeable different from what it was originally I would not use it. Partially because I would rather enjoy the scent of my skin but mainly from the possibility of bacteria growth.

I would say so. That or something else got in to it and contaminated it somehow.

I don't know if it's bad, maybe old, but I wouldn't use it, as my skin would take on the smell.
