  • It depends. The first answer would be if you where to sign up to a mobile phone company here (Australia) and get a new sim card, then yes, the phone would work. (although there may be difficults recharging it) The second answer would be that the company you are with at the moment may have international ties. Vodafone for example have offices here in Australia as well as in other countries. I've tried ringing friends oversea's with a mobile, but have had very little luck. The sound quality for one is very poor.

  • Most smart phones will now work internationally but the sim card might need to be changed. The charging devices on most (all?) smart phones work fine on 110 volts to 220 volts to work in all countries.
