Wow! I hadn't heard that stat! but, no, I never worked at McDonald's, or any other fast-food restaurant (unless working the counter at a donut shop when I was in college counts?).

Never at McDonald's, but I did work at Burger King for 3 months when I was in high school. Awful job! (It was way back when we had to wear those awful rust colored cordoroy uniforms with the vest and plaid shirts....UGH!)

No. That stat is pretty high. Where did you read it?? Curious about it. I have only known 1 person who ever worked fast food, interestingly enough, he was a manager at Mc D's! College was filled with frys!!

Never worked at Mickey D's....or fast food at all, actually - but I have worked in a living history museum and at Disneyworld.

I worked at McDonalds for two weeks. I quit after my manager wouldn't stop hitting on me. I should have called him in, harassing a minor like that. And even if I had never seen Super Size Me, I would have sworn NEVER to consume anything that came out of that place.

No, but my boyfriend has and I know a friend who has too. I'm sure those two are not alone in people I know who've worked there. However, that percent seems a tad high. But then again, at 17-18 I suspect these people have many years left before we can say they never worked there.

No, I've never worked in any food service at all. However, I can think of at LEAST five people I know, just off the top of my head, who have worked at McDonalds at one time or other. Usually in High School or College as a part time job to help pay the bills.

I have a full time job at a retail store and once in awhile work on the side at mcdonalds. Only a few times a month though. This is not my first time working there either. Good part time job though if you never know what your full time jobs hours will be because they are very flexable with their scedule

I think that statistic might be skewed. I haven't, no one in my family has, and over the course of my whole life (30 years so far) I have only known one person who worked for McDonald's (that I was aware of). Oh. I just noticed I answered a question posted by Blank Savage. He still pops up on the home page every now and then!

As far as food establishments go, I have worked at Boston Market, Burger King, and a little place called Tomboys in Manhattan Beach, CA. I always thought McD's was a little beneath me for some reason.

when i was 14 i started working at mcdonalds for 5.15 per hour. in two weeks i got my very first raise as a professional; 25 cents!! 5.40 per hour. mcdonalds treats their employees really well when you work really hard. i never eat there, haven't in 2 years. yuck. but, thanks mickey d's for being there for me.

They only do it for the free burger and fries. I worked in a recruitment agency a while back, Burger King, Wimpy, Mcdonalds, KFC or any other fast food chain is a money spinner as you can get anyone into one. I did a graduate mathmatician for part time KFC and got paid 30 bucks one off and 5% of monthly wage while he was in the job. Which makes me laugh when I hear the joke what do you call a graduate with a degree in history? Big Mac and Fries mate.
