  • In context, Earth refers to the physical planet we live on, while the world means the same planet, although it refers more to the people, places and things on it. That's why people say, the world is messed up, and not, the Earth is messed up.
  • The world IS messed up and humanity messed it up. Global warming, climate change floating islands of garbage in the oceans, deforestation, microplastics in everything air pollution water pollution, wars and threats of nukes from power hungry dictators only adding to the mess with the threat of global extinction. If humans suddenly disappeared from the planet, it would begin to heal itself and slowly clean up our mess, if we disappeared before we went too far. 12/9/25
