"if you work hard and have good work ethic and are also humble, then you will reach the top of the ladder with wealth, respect and success"
So in other words if you work very hard and always honest and respectful, do you really end up prospering in today's world?

No. Hard work / a good work ethic and showing respect to superiors is insufficient. In some cases, superiors will see such behavior as an opportunity to sexually harass. And once that begins, there's no way out in which you come out ahead, career-wise, unless your skills are in very high demand.

Rich people don't work by that ethic, they make their money work for them, and look for opportunities to exploit, or build upon.

what a bs ideal .The world isn't like that or not where I live anyway. Rich people screw poor people every chance they get. Working and being honest gets you no where I have 50 years of bugger all to prove that.
