      Thanks for sharing! In today's society, you must be really Old School to humble yourself in a fast-paced, aggressive and dog-eat-dog world to ask: "May" I come? Sounds like a peon speaking. LOL
  • Answerbag can be a good source to learn proper English grammar. If I want to come along, I say it with an attitude by growing some balls: Can I come? It lets the person know I am waiting for a Yes or No answer, and no BS. If I ask, Shall I come? It makes me feel like the person must want me to come, but is waiting for me to ask. This is my way of seeing things, since we all have our ways of understanding words differently.
