  • Sure. Back in the days of WordStar and Lotus 1-2-3 macros were a regular and useful part of working with those programs. * What does a macro do for you? When you have a particular task that takes multiple keyboard strokes, and you repeat this particular task at least once in awhile, and it always takes the same keyboard strokes, a macro provides several advantages: (A) you don't have to remember all of the keyboard strokes (B) you don't risk mis-typing any of the keyboard strokes (C) it's much faster typing the (one or two or even three key) macro keystroke than typing the entire series of keystrokes
