No, not for the US. He was homeland security for the Apaches though. He fought against the US and Mexico to try and save his people. The Americans punished him by sending him and his people to Oklahoma. He came late to the fight against the Americans though. There were many who provided security for their people starting on the east coast and working westward. 6/17/24
