  • Definitely created. Math is a "system", a "method". * But also math (in the way of sciences) symbolically describes the real world (at least: in many cases). For example: adding one (solid) object to another (solid) object of the same type gives you two objects. Math symbolically represents this, and does so in a way that extends (applies) to any number of such objects. (Note that adding liquid "objects" of the same type can be a problem in math, since - physically - they combine when added. In such cases we need measurement, e.g. 1 cup of water + 1 cup of water = 2 cups of water, and now we're already in a situation where we need more than just mathematics to solve a real-world problem)
