bostjan the adequate 🥉If you are worried about ingesting bugs, you might want to take a closer look at candies that have a shiny glaze coating, as those are most often made from crushed up bugs. Red lipstick is also made from dyes that are cheaper to obtain from mashed up beetles than other sources. And pretty much every vegetable or product made from vegetables we eat has an acceptable limit of how many bugs can be mushed up inside and still be considered safe for consumers.

Yes, I would definitely try that cloned hamburger. After all, it's GOT to taste better than that "Impossible Whopper" (which tastes like a peanut butter, ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard sandwich with a pickle on top)

What sort of person goes to a cheap burger joint and buys A veggie burger? -

Most veggie burgers are disappointing, but a couple of them actually taste legitimately good. Turns out they are tricky to make at home and get just the right consistency and flavour, so, if anyone wants one, it's easier to either buy premade. Also, oddly, they are often cheaper through a cheap burger joint than through a grocer. The impossible whopper, to me, just tastes fake. Before that existed, though, Burger King had a patty called the BK Veggie that was significantly better, but honestly still not very good. Some restaurants make some sort of chipotle black bean patty that tastes good, but it's not trying to be something it's not. Even then, the consistency is usually unsatisfying, outside of a few places who regularly get it right. -

At 11stevo: someone who wants to see how close in taste to a real burger is a vegetable burger that supposedly tastes so much like beef it's called "the impossible burger". Turns out: it tastes like peanut butter.
