For me, it has been Norton for many years now!!! They update their products several times a year in order to keep up with the latest attacks. I used to use McAfee but I got a virus with that one. I spoke with a close geek friend to ask if I could do better & he recommended Norton & I NEVER looked back!!! Norton isn't cheap. I pay somewhere around $187/yr. Logically thinking, it's cheaper than buying a new computer!!! Now I don't need to worry about going onto a dangerous website. If I do, it blocks the site & pops up a message warning me of danger & asking me if I'm sure I want to continue on. I have a few important websites that trigger the same warning & just click "Yes, I want to continue" & it accepts my word that it's safe. My bank pulls a lot of info to verify that it's me before allowing me to do any transaction. I know this site is safe so I continue on. Any new site, I accept their warning & back off!!! You do have to watch Norton because they are constantly pushing new products & you have to determine what it is that is important to you & decline the others. I'm NOT necessarily recommending Norton for you; however, it has been good for me, so you might want to look at that one to see if it will work for you. Everybody uses their computer differently & what works perfectly for me might not be your perfect answer!!!
