I've been through 3 of the resume & job search things employment centers have people go to. Asking how much it pays is Okey, but it should never be the first question out of the mouth. Find out all other things you want to know of it 1st, then ask the rate.

No, being concerned about working at the organization and eager to move the conversation properly is more important.

Yes you should. That will save you the possibility of an unpleasant surprise on payday. We work to live, and we want the get the most we can from our hours working. Ask what it pays, and if it's not enough, move onto another interview. 2/26/23

Never ask that question because the interviewer will think you’re in it just for the money. Don’t listen to what certain users say on here who think it’s ok to ask about money. The wages are either mentioned in the advertisement or you will be told by the employer how much you will earn. The interviewer wants to know your experience in the field that you are applying for, your educational background, your enthusiasm for the job and what you can offer in order to be an asset in their company or organisation. They will not be impressed if you mention about pay. Applying for a job is about giving good impressions.

Ask about their retirement plan... it will give them the illusion you plan to stay.
