  • NO, I cannot. I also (for example) cannot prove that YOU exist. And...although presumably you can prove that you exist, of course you cannot prove that *I* exist. *** The Bible is what leads me to believe that Satan exists. If there's better - contrary - evidence, I don't know about it.

You can't prove that I exist? I can say there is a fair chance you exist as you are interacting on this website to numerous kinds of questions, in a human exchange, although Bible Reviews is a promotional name, it is a site that has an email and a name James E Pettis, so you are either a person, persons, or a computer program, but you are not a tree, an animal or a mineral. So you believe in Satan, but you don't see it in the world, only in the bible?

Am I? Are you sure it's not a computer program, rather than a person? Are you sure you're not hallucinating? Maybe you have a split personality and it's YOU who is answering this question. etc. *** Yes, you can present evidence supporting the contention that I exist. But clearly that evidence does not PROVE my existence, neither logically nor conclusively.

I said it could be a computer programme, but that still would require intelligence behind it, a programmer. Well, if I have a split personality then that means no one on this site exists. I thought you was rational, but you have given an irrational answer, for your belief, which is why people don't believe. Funnily enough your answer is in line with Aliester Crowley's belief, that everyone is having their own experience of reality, and so that everyone experiences multiply realities, he did a lot of drugs, and influenced a lot of todays musicians, promoting a religion for the new aeon.

So are you merely hear to promote your website, hallucination/computer program?

(sigh) Now your just knee-jerk reacting. Just about everything in your response is erroneous or irrelevant or both. But most especially I want to point out the (obviously) fallacious argument "if I have a split personality then that means no one on this site exists".

My reply is in response to your comment, but what you have said here is amusing, you make a far better argument for the non existence of me, than you do for the existence of God or Satan. You believe in Satan because of a book, you don't believe in me, because somehow I'm now talking to another side of my personality, rather than a real person, an excellent point in a different context for people who believe in God and Satan don't you think? As an ex atheist, I'm impressed. You comments could also runs a line with Buddhism and Zoroastrianism, where the world doesn't exist and this reality is Maya, magic/an illusion. Thanks it was an interesting response.

      Interesting, this exchange of dialogue.

Cream: you're confusing (I hope intentionally) belief and proof. You're misunderstanding (I hope NOT) - or more likely misrepresenting (I hope SO) - what I've written. No matter which: what you HAVE proved is that continuing the discussion is pointless. When you resort to such tactics (either intentionally or not), then (clearly) the conversation can no longer be productive.

Read the question 'bible reviews, then the exchange, there is absolutely no confusion on my part, and I found the conversation far from pointless. Accusing me of resorting to "tactics," personally, I have no idea what you are talking about, but I did enjoy and get something from the exchange, unfortunately it's clear you didn't. So you are right if it wasn't productive for you, then there's nothing more to add, but I don't really think there is anyway.
  • Easy - just go to DC and look for anyone with a (D) after his name.

      Good answer.
  • Spiritually, Satan is like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8) Physically, Satan and his fallen angels known as demons can indwell either in human bodies or animal bodies. An example, the time when Jesus cast out a multitude of demons from a man in whom had a collective name of "Legion," and they then entered a herd of pigs, which ran down a steep place into the sea. (Mark 5:1–13)

Have you ever witnessed this Jenny?

I've seen dark shadows. Other times I have heard people utter strange sounds. What I know about their intentions is unknown.
  • No I cannot and I will not be tempting trouble by trying.

  • Satan or Santa...just a mix up of letters.😊

Both have a long history of deceiving people ; -)
  • Do you think Satin exist? The only mention of him is in the Bible, Along with God and Jesus, but how would you prove that they exist?
    • Creamcrackered
Well the lucis trust believes that Satan exists, or Lucifer, and they are sponsored by the UN, so regardless of what I believe, surely what they are pushing is more important, and why would a bunch of atheists, want to continue the biblical story? https://www.lucistrust.org/%20 https://www.lucistrust.org/arcane_school/talks_and_articles/descent_and_sacrifice Secondly, satan with a small S, was indicative of ones' evil inclination, do I believe that exists, absolutely? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWkULcx0Ck0. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, I think most people fall into these circumstances at some point, in the day, week, month, year, or lifetime. Still some see Lucifer as a purifier, hence biblical verses note to turn a man over to Satan. Certainly, wouldn't be as many films, poems, and stories written if not for Christianity, or Gnosticism.

Thanks for your comment Creamcrac (idk if I spelled your name right, it's all I could see on my page) To be clear, I believe in God and his Son. I have read the Bible and use several translations in my studies, the first mention of Satan the Devil is in Genesis chapter 3, and then at Matthew chapter 4 shows that Jesus has a confrontation with the Devil. So my thinking is that you can't believe in one and not the other.
