Not necessarily. People are different. Sometimes when I clean up I can't find things when I knew where they were in the mess. That said, I did like to leave each day with a clear desk when I worked at one.

Not when they spend 2 hours a day cleaning and arranging the desk , for one turn out I do work for I think that is all he does is clean his desk, it takes him weeks to pay my bill and even longer for him to organise the work according to the tenants.

I think keeping a clean desk makes one more organized, ie much better in finding what you need for the tasks at hand.
