Why is zero days plural?
One day is singular and two and above days are plural. Why is zero days plural?
Note: the question uses the singular verb "is" and not "are". That is also strange. Should the question have been "Why are zero days plural"? If the question was "Why is/are two days plural" which verb should be used.

The only number that is considered grammatically "singular" is one (1). Even negative one (-1) is treated as a non-singular number...and so, of course, also is zero (0).
