  • I knew it would be big this year, its based on inflation. But my rent is based on my income, so rent will go up. And don't forget your groceries and gas have gone up 6.1% as well. But I'm thankful for it. And I'm thankful to the taxpayers that work so hard (like I used to) to pay into that fund.

Thank you , Miss Linda you are the best :)
  • A raise is long overdue. And although I am against stimulus payments (it stagnates the economy), if there's a true benefit attached to it, then so be it. And no, I know the cost of living increase isn't tied to the stimulus directly, but I can safely guess that it wouldn't even be considered if it wasn't because of the stimulus relief. It goes along with the increase in unemployment benefits that were directly associated with the stimulus relief.

The cost of living raise happens almost every year, and its directly tied to inflation. It is indirectly tied to the stimulus because stimulus causes inflation.

It's based on the inflation rate between July and the end of September. Currently, they're looking at an increase of between 9.1% and 10%.
  • I heard Pelosi and the Dems are going to give themselves a nice fat raise too, especially for their lackeys. Some of whom will be making more than the reps.
