  • Why would you install carpet in a home that apparently hadn't been inspected yet and on which you had not closed? Neither my parents nor my husband and I ever did such a thing. You don't spend money on a home until the inspection is completed, you feel assured that it is in good shape or at least that there are no issues you don't know about and are prepared to deal with, and you have closed. I'm afraid I don't know how you can be reimbursed for the carpet if the owner won't agree to do it and you had no agreement in place that you WOULD be reimbursed if the sale didn't go through.
  • Who installs carpet in a house they don't own? You can probably negotiate the cost to remedy the problems with the seller.
  • you have made a donation of carpet. You wont get your money back.
