• Li-meng Yan is a she by the way (your pronouns seem to switch back and forth). A Chinese person would have a lot to lose by lying about this. I'm not really sure what is going on there. The controversial paper's co-authors all used pseudonyms, which is extremely unusual in a scientific paper. If you read her paper with a little scientific literacy, you'll quickly see why it has been widely discredited. The substance of the paper focuses on lack of evidence that the virus is not-man-made, rather than evidence that it IS man-made. I'm personally not well-versed in the creation of bio-weapons, so I can't really delve into the validity of her arguments, but it certainly looks like she put a lot of work into this. All I can say other than that is that this situation is entirely bizarre.
