• They're not disabilities, they're diseases. Sometimes the symptoms can lead to a disability.
  • Because they are terminal illnesses that can be debilitating. Chemotherapy can take a toll on any cancer suffering person and render them unfit for work. HIV/AIDS can cause further illnesses and can also be spread - hence it's best such people not work.
  • If you've never been through it then you don't know what you're talking about! And YOU are not in a position to say what is and is not a disability. And I thank God you're not because you are terribly ignorant of the whole situation! "While cancer is a disability regardless of how long it puts you out of work, only some people will qualify for disability benefits through the Social Security Administration (SSA)." What makes you think you have a right to judge anyone anyway?
