  • James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him." Because it teaches you that you can go straight to God and ask. And He will answer you through the Holy Spirit.

  • Revelation 1:8 "I Am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Why is it my favorite verse? The verse is amazing to know that Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the Almighty God when John fell at his feet. Revelation 1:17-18 "When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying, Fear not, I Am the First and the Last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I Am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades."
  • Matthew 22:36-40. Because this is the two commandments that assures I am no longer under the Old Testament and Romans 10:4 says if I have Jesus as my Saviour I am no longer under the Old Testament Law. If you can live under the requirements of Matthew 22:36-40 all else is secondary and Romans 10:4 guarantees it.
  • To many to say, I'll pick two... Colossians 1:14 -23 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. My favourite verses for reasons of overcoming the flesh, to be unified with God.

I like verse 4: "One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever." I guess that means the world isn't going to end in ten years, or 7 or even 27.
