Health care insurance is very expensive because health care costs are extremely expensive. The cost of health care is drastically less expensive in Europe and, in general, the health care is as good or better. The European reduced health care costs are due to the governments regulating what the health care industry can charge. Americans don't like government regulation but, in this case, the industry knows they have us over a barrel and are gouging us beyond belief. We see fit for the government to regulate utilities like gas and water because they are necessities and, in my opinion, health care should be seen the same way. Europeans see health care as an issue of the highest priority. Americans see corporate profits as an issue of the highest priority.
