In my opinion 'downfalls of diabetes' means the bad things that come as a result of having diabetes. Your text is a little confusing because Curry is supposed to be good for controlling diabetes however, if the sauce has a lot of white flour and sugar in it then it might not be so good for a diabetic. Portion control is also important when dealing with diabetes. But if you make it with whole wheat flour and sugar substitute it might be close enough that you don't feel deprived of curry sauce yet not so tasty you over eat it. LOL
