Why do some women insist upon talking in a baby voice all the time?

I don't know, but I think it makes them sound dumb as hell. Unless they are talking to a little kid (3-6 months)

From the time they are little girls, many women learn to manipulate and to try to get whatever they want by acting and talking like little, fragile, needy, cute human beings. They think that by pretending that they are damsels in distress every men will do whatever they can to please them. It seems to work for many of them...

My brothers new girlfriend and a co-worker does this. It drives me nuts and makes them sound not only stupid, but insincere about everything they say. My co-worker is always saying, "AWWWWWWWW" about everything in that voice.

It's terrible! I work with a 59 yr old woman that does it! Someone has to go soon (me or her)! Not only does she do this but she talks to herself, clears her throat all the time - loudly and grotesque-like, butts in to everyones conversation, snaps her gum, and burps loudly. Several of us have been to HR and I've confronted her on the gum snapping and loud talking (which hasn't helped). I was even nice about it! Some people!
