Jesus. I'm not convinced he actually practised or did any 'magic', me not being a Christian and all, but whatever he did allowed him to be famous for around 2000 years after he lived. That in itself is pretty powerful magic.

There is convincing evidence that the miracles of Jesus actually happened in Mark 8:22-25. Jesus healed a blind man's vision, but it had to be done in two stages because at first the man saw but didn't understand, and only after a second touching could he see properly. When a person has been totally blind for many years and is suddenly healed, it takes days or weeks before they can understand what they see because neural connections in the brain itself have been disrupted and need to be restored. This could not possibly have been known in the first century; therefore the account was recorded as it actually happened.
