  • On older carousels, you could grab the brass ring to win a free ride. Now in this politically-correct, sue-happy age, the brass rings are mostly gone. Additionally, the brass rings (or wood or plastic later on) would find their way into trash heaps, be flung to break windows, etc., so insurance became a factor in their demise even before political-correctness took hold. http://tinyurl.com/ysuymq The following carousels still have operating brass ring dispensers/targets San Diego, CA Balboa Park Balboa Park Carousel Santa Cruz, CA Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Auburndale, FL International Market World Lakeside Carousel Angola, IN Fun Spot Logansport, IN Riverside Park Oak Bluffs, MA Martha's Vineyard Flying Horses Ocean City, NJ Gillian's Wonderland Pier Brooklyn, NY Coney Island B & B Carousel Greenport, NY Mitchell Park Northrop-Grumman Carousel Easton, PA Bushkill Park Elysburg, PA Knoebels Amusement Park & Resort Grand Carousel Pen Argyl, PA Weona Park East Providence, RI Carousel Park Crescent Park Carousel Watch Hill, RI Watch Hill Park The Flying Horse Carousel Spokane, WA Riverfront Park Roseneath, ON (Canada) Roseneath Fairgrounds http://tinyurl.com/2j8ho6
