  • As of the census of 2000, there were 5,125 people, 1,903 households, and 1,366 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 497.2/km sq (1,286.1/mi sq). There were 3,686 housing units at an average density of 357.6/km sq (925.0/mi sq). The racial makeup of the CDP was 87.71% White, 0.47% African American, 1.70% Native American, 0.92% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 4.06% from Race (United States Census)other races, and 5.05% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 11.12% of the population. There were 1,903 households out of which 35.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.2% were Marriagemarried couples living together, 10.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% were non-families. 21.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.61 and the average family size was 3.04. In the CDP the population was spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 28.8% from 25 to 44, 27.6% from 45 to 64, and 8.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 102.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.3 males.
