Where you would put the phone number, put your email address instead

Just type the email address when your cell phone as the destination number (of course by changing the option in your cell phone menu from numeric into alphabet). Most cell provider enable the user to text to email address.

Change the text (either numbers or ABC) of the address to letters instead of numbers. It should allow you to set that and should be at a corner of the screen. Then just type in the letters/symbols.
