  • It may be possible, but it is in no way healthy to lose more than 50% percent of your body weight in that short time frame. Your skin will stay stretched and you will have skin flaps. Extreme low calorie diets should always be done under the supervision of a doctor. Please try the traditional method of exercise and a healthy diet. If you use this method and do lose weight you will have learned nothing about healthy eating habits and are very likely to put all the weight you lost plus more back on once you finish.
  • I'm pretty sure you'd die if you did that. That's like...1 step up from anorexia. The human body CANNOT be sustained on water & slim fast. Slim fast is just an appetite SUPPRESSENT. It doesn't really nourish all that well, it just makes you not feel hungry. People can't survive without food for that long. I don't think there is any way to lose that amount of weight in that amount of time. Gastric bypass would make you lose dramatically, but I don't think even that would make you lose 150 in 3.5 months. Set a realistic goal for gods sake. This one I'm pretty sure is not NOT possible.
  • Sure, if you wish to kill yourself with a heart attack. That would be VERY unwise. See a doctor or go to a weight loss center. You should be losing NO MORE than 3 pounds a week, AND eating sensible foods, not just diet shake drinks, unless you want to jeopardize your health and your life both.
  • Dont use the slim fast and excersize a lot and you probobly could. But it will be terrible for your body. Possibly deady loosing that much that fast.
  • I think it's dangerous to lose weight that fast!
  • You need to talk to a doctor or at least a nutrisionist if you want to lose that much weight so quickly. If it is possible to do it in a healthy manner, they will know how. I don't think it would be easy. As for losing it in your face and hands, I am not familiar with a way to do that other than plastic surgury.
  • That is incredibly dangerous. The only way would be one of these stomach operations and they are not a guarentee. You would be very ill losing that much weight in such a short time
  • You asked the same question here: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/183610 Trust us when we say it is not realistic and it would be DEADLY DANGEROUS for you to even try this! If you feel you need to lose that much weight, you need a doctor to help advise you. If you feel you need to lose it that quickly, you need to talk with a doctor quickly, because I think there is more to this than just the fact that you think you need to lose weight. Please ask for professional help! A doctor is the best one to advise you on this. Even a weight loss clinic would not advise you to lose more than 3 pounds or so in a week, and they would not want you on only a liquid diet! It is IMPOSSIBLE unless you take a chainsaw and CUT it off to lose that much weight in that short a time. Impossible. Please don't curse at us when we try to help you. If you think this will help your situation you are wrong. You are very angry and depressed as well. Your doctor can help you alot more than we can. If you want to curse at someone do it elsewhere, especially when you are asking for serious help and we give you our best HONEST and REALISTIC answers. You were actually lucky the quick and huge weight loss you had before did not cause you to have a heart attack. A 10-12 pound a WEEK weight loss would surely make you very sick and could very well kill you. You need serious counseling with the doctor who diagnosed your depression. If you attempt this on a starvation diet, you could well end up like many others - dead from cardiac arrest because your body's electrolytes and other important systems are all off balance and/or shutting down. GET some professional help.
  • NO. 1-2 pounds a week is considered healthy weight loss. If you were exercising and following a healthy, balanced diet, you could aim for losing 12-24 pounds in 3 months. If you maintained 2 lbs loss each week (which isn't likely in the long run) you would need at least 1 1/2 YEARS to reach your goal of 150 lbs lost. Everyone wants to be thinner, more muscular, and look better... but the key is to be HEALTHY. Don't sacrifice good health to weigh a few pounds less. I suggest you speak with a doctor and nutritionist. They can help you determine a reasonable goal weight, and help you develop a healthy nutrition and exercise plan that you can follow to reach your goals.
  • it is unsafe to lose more than 2 pounds per week. 2 pounds per week for 3 months is 13 weeks so that's 26 pounds. august is 4 or 5 months away, depending on when in august. even at 4 months that allows you another 8 pounds. 32 pounds in 4 months would be very admirable. try to do 30 minutes of cardio exercise everyday. maybe take your kids for a walk.
  • Never gonna happen, you'd die first of malnutrition. Even if you had a gastric bypass surgery, it'd still probably take you 8 or 9 months to lose the first 100 lbs.
  • As the previous answers stated: not it's not possible, and yes it is very dangerous to your health. If those aren't enough of a reason for you not to try to do this, know this: When your body does not get enough nutrition to sustain you it goes into a starvation mode, meaning that all fat and calories are stored in your body. Your metabolism slows way down, and you will lose weight much more slowly than if you dieted in a healthy way and increased you energy output by exercising. Take it from me, I know. I cut my calorie intake down to 500-600 calories a day, and at first I lost weight like crazy, but after a week I started to gain it back. So: It is not possible, it's dangerous, and may make you GAIN weight.
  • The other answers have been right on the money. You can't lose that much weight in that amount of time and be healthy. Don't lose weight as a way of getting someone back. Do it for yourself. My own piece of advice is this: while you are doing whatever you decide to do to lose weight, there are other things that you can do to look better in general and be more comfortable with the parts of your body that you have a problem with. I have a very full face myself, no matter how much weight I gain or lose. In my case it's a family thing. Very frustrating. I've found that getting the right haircut is very helpful. Many haircuts are just not flattering for a full face and can make you look "puffy". Look around on the internet for hairstyles for someone with a similar face shape to yours. I promise that with the right haircut you will feel like a whole new woman. :) Secondly, it can also help to change the way you dress. Dress for the body you have now and not for the one you wish you had. It's really common for people to buy unflattering clothes and plan to diet into them. Then they just don't look good in their clothes, which is depressing, which can lead to more eating/unhealthy behavior. Break the cycle - get some really pretty, flattering clothes that express your style and highlight your favorite aspects (maybe you have really blue eyes or a nice complexion, you can really play that up by wearing the right color). Basically work on how you present yourself, and get to where you're feeling and looking good. I know that ANY body type can look good when someone is comfortable and happy with themselves and carry themselves well. Look good and you will feel better, and then it will be easier to stick with a diet or exercise program. Confidence is very attractive. (Finally, for a quick weight-loss trick, GIVE UP SODA. I gave it up about 2 months ago and I've visibly lost weight without changing anything else. Take out the sweet drinks and drink water instead, it's much better for you.)
  • PLEASE don't do that. That is extremely unhealthy.
  • I don't think it's possible to lose THAT much wieght. Many years ago I lost 60 pounds inless than 2 months but myhair fell out and I felt horrible and it came running back as fast as it could. And this was under a doctor's care with experimental pills and things. Never again! It is too violent for the body. Your metabolism will be screwed up for the rest of your life.
  • safe, healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. anyone losing that kind of weight will have serious health problems if they don't kill themselves. I safely lost over 76 lbs doing Weight Watchers. my doctor, and most others, agree it's one of they healthiest diets because there are no pills and it's not a crash diet. it's learning to eat healthy by cutting down fat and portion sizes. it's a diet you can do indefinately because it's not dangerous. talk to a doctor, they will tell you such fast weight loss is unhealthy.
  • You really need to talk to your doctor. You have asked this question before, and have been advised how risky this would be. Safe, healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week. That kind of weight loss, while not only not possible in such a short time, in attempting to do so could be extremely dangerous to your health....
  • i believe in you! but please dont do it by starving your body first start with about 1500 calories a day and eat every 2 hours, mostly fruits vegetables and proteins, and drink at least a gallon of water a day. ok thats the easy part, now if you want to lose 2 pounds a day your going to have to burn 8500 calories a day, that means your going to have to exercise about 12 hours a day, now that is the part that might kill you but if you have the will power, than all the power to ya. : )
  • It might be possible but highly unadvisable and even dangerous. You should work towards losing one to two pounds per week. It should also be a lifestyle change and not a temporary starving of the body. Crash diets DO NOT last. You need a balance of smart eating and exercise.
  • Yeah it's also worth noting that if you loose weight to quickly through any super-dieting method you would probably gain that weight back in no time as well!
