My ferret grinds her teeth on occasion, and has since I got her. She does it about once a month and otherwise appears healthy. She doesn't paw at her mouth or have trouble eating. Should I be worried?

No. The grinding is a normal activity for them, to keep the teeth sharp, for eating and for "defending." Ferrets know exactly what they are doing, and don't really "need" human beings, all that much. +5
