Well, you have lots of options. Here are a few: with kindness, with gentleness, ignore them, be rude back. I have found that sometimes communication works. I'm sure that others will have more answers for you. I read a human interest story where a very rude man was just sitting on a subway car, ignoring his children who were running wild and disturbing people. Finally a woman confronted him. He seemed in a daze. He apologized and said he was sorry - they had just come from the hospital where his wife had died. They had sat up with her all night and not eaten or slept and the children were confused and upset that their mother was gone. Things aren't always what they seem. +5

It's up to you, if you're going to think about it. And I suggest that you do, if you don't automatically treat people as well as you can. I liked ChicagoLady's answer very much.
-
Don't become one just to teach them a lesson, it never works. Just pretend they aren't rude, and be polite and gracious.
-
Treat them any damn way you please. But remember. What goes around comes around. And vise versa. Have fun. Experience is the best teacher!
-
I would just say, "Excuse me," and walk away.
-
Any way you wish.
-
Stare at them and don't back down.
-
Pity them and realize that you are much better of a person to retaliate or even acknowledge their rudeness. The best advice is to live well yourself.
-
Yes, you can ask them why are they rude to you. Or say well, Hope you have a better day.
-
You treat them with respect. That gets em every time... and at the end of the day theyll think about "what an a$$hole I was" ....and take a different route next time.
-
A Bad Dinner and a shitty movie?
-
kill'em with kindness. lol
-
Avoid rude people whenever possible.
-
Be respectful and stay the heck away from them.
-
You can treat us with the utmost respect that we deserve, you dumb harlot.
-
Walk away...or tie them down to a chair, tape their eyelids open, and insert an opened, red-hot paperclip into their eye, giggling hysterically as the eye goop drips down their cheek like so much butterscotch pudding...but yeah, probably just walk away...
-
Ignore them or tell them to go fly a kite. +5
-
With caustic soda maybe?
-
Ignore them.
-
Show your kindness. Make them to realize that they should change from what they are.... make them to feel that it is bad to be rude.
-
with a big slap in the face.. that always work
-
down rate them lol
-
be nice to them and if they re still rude to you then be rude to them
-
Give them a dose of their own medicine.
-
Just say with a smile, "I hope your day improves." :D
-
With a poker face. ^_^
-
Any way you want, that's what determines who you become.
-
I always consider how they might be 3 miles away at that moment. No use being rude back because that shows immaturity.

Matthew 7:12 “All things that you want men to do to you, you also must likewise do to them”. Matthew 5:39 “...whoever slaps you on the right cheek, turn the other also to him.” When someone is in a bad mood, I try not to let their negativity rub off on me. It’s not easy, but it feels good to know that I maintained my integrity, remained calm and walked away with a clean conscious.
