I didn't really mourn them, but I was sad when Johnny Cash and Joey Ramone died.
-
James Stewart, I felt an era was ending.
-
John Wayne's passing seemed like the end of an era to me. My dad had known him and always looked up to him. (Dad was 6'8")

Never really mourned anybody, but Lady Di took me more by surprise that most others.

The one that hit me hardest.....Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Princess Diana. For a long time after I missed reading about her in magazines. It wasn't the same without her presence in the media. Mourn though? Not that personal perhaps. But definitely 'missed' her being about.

Kurt Cobain. Oddly enough I read an article on Frances Bean this morning and I teared up.
-
I guess the right word for me wouldn't be "mourn", but I felt sad that Luciano Pavarotti died. He was one of those figures that you think are immortal.
-
Layne Staley. He died right around the time I started really getting into Alice in Chains. I didn't really mourn his death, but I was pretty bummed about it.
-
Princess Diana and JFK, Jr. and Gianni Versace were a shock to the system because it was so tragic and sudden. I can't say I mourned them the way a family would mourn, but it did touch my heart. I really lost it when John Lennon was shot but that was because I was really in the middle of finding out what death was all about when that one occurred. Anytime someone special dies, I always feel the loss and the appreciation of what they meant to us all.
