  • It sounds like the disk drive might be shot. This same thing happened to me and I had to get the disk drive replaced. I sent it down to a Nintendo repair service down in southern California, and it took about 2 weeks for the repair to be made and for it to be sent back to me. It's free of charge if it's still under warranty, but if it's not, it costs about $50-$100 USD.
