According to the Encyclopedia of World Air Power, here are the "published" top speeds of each fighter: F18: Mach 1.80 F16: Mach 1.95 F14: Mach 2.34 And the fastest jet is... F15: Mach 2.5, approximately 1,400 mph.

I've seen figures that quote the F/A-18 Hornet at Mach 1.88, and the F-16 at Mach 2.01+. The F-14A can reach mach 2.34, but the later F-14D has a lower top speed of closer to Mach 2. The F-15 has a rated top speed of Mach 2.5.
