Depends. If they come from someone who I am not close to, nope. I long ago learned not to care what people who don't know me think of me. But, they do hurt if from family or friends. Then, I give someone one chance. They hurt me again, I cut them out of my life forever.

I tend to brush off verbal attacks! They usually come from someone who is quite unbalanced or emotionally disturbed in some way, or drunk! they tend to have far more issues going on in their head than I could ever be able to comprehend! It’s best just to let them get it off their chests, so we might all have a little peace! :-/ “sticks & stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me“!! ;-)
