Bass season started around Valentine's day, first week in Feb. Trout season began on April first (yeah, April Fool's Day). Crappie is yet to come. Their season is different because their spawning is later and the "little 'uns need warmer water to survive. (Oklahoma)

New Zealand ~ dependant upon local regulations. Auckland/Waikato generally 12 months with some specific rivers/streams 1st Oct ~> 30th June. That's for trout.
