Nice names, I've a brother called Dominic with a "c". It shortens nicely to Dom. Damien sounds nice too but I like the name Damon better (it doesn't have the whole satan/omen thing going on).

I don't actually like either of those - my sisters ex husband was a Dominic and he was violent and abusive. Damien just makes me think of TThe Omen......

I don't like either of those names. They have a harsh sound to them, for one thing, and you've spelt Dominic/Dominique in such a way as to make the name even less attractive-sounding. If you're thinking of these for baby names, unless you want your kid's name to be associated with harshness and a general, "ugh" over their name, don't do it please.

If you are in the US it is better to name children after the Kings and Queens of England. It's that simple. Although, I bet Barack is going to be popular! Not Hussein, though, even if it means "good" or "handsome" or "beautiful". Kinda like naming your child Adolph. Hazardous in the extreme.

I love the name Dominic, but not with a 'k'. It looks kinda harsh with a 'k'. I don't like Damien, the ones I know tend to be a bit whiny. Damon is cool, though.

Damien Michael is a beautiful strong boys name! Love it! Named my son this and he is gorgeous! Who cares about a fictional character from a movie, how lame! Anyone to say the ignorant devil stuff doesn't know the true meaning of the name...to calm, tame. Also,Damien is the patron saint of physicians and Father Damien who was a true miracle.

I knew a guy named Damien and he was a real asshole. Dominik is a little feminine but, my name is just as bad so no complaints there. Just prepare to have your kid teased for having any name slightly different than 'Tom' or 'Steve'.
