  • My dad and I met Tony Kanal (the bass player from No Doubt). I had the biggest crush on him then. (I was 12) We walked and my dad talked with him out to the parking lot where our car was and his tour bus. (This was of course before they were Huge) I was literally 3ft from him and in total awe. lol I am still irritated with myself over that bc I was too freaked out to ask for a autograph or even talk to him. Grr.
  • I've met several celebrities but I guess the most famous would be Julia Roberts. I sold her some cookies at the mall in Atlanta where I managed a Great American Cookies store. She was super sweet and seemed like a really cool person. She's also quite attractive in person.

I've met Roy Rodgers, Dale Evans, Cisco kid, Lone Ranger, Tonto, Gabby Hayes, ect ..rode on all of their horses with them .... My uncle was the area "Marshall" and he and his men were in charge of Security ... as such , and that i went with him every week ... managed to meet and have fun with these celebs ...

  • Harry S. Truman. My great-uncle helped him on some home-improvement projects and was on a first-name basis with Harry. In the early 1960's, I actually got to meet him at his home. When I addressed him as Mr. President, he asked me to just call him Harry. He was a very pleasant and caring person.

  • I ran into (literally ran into) the lead singer of boys like girls. He was in the bathroom during a break for their acoustic show i was at and my cousin had to pee so i went with her to the bathroom. I was just standing there, and all of a sudden, i felt someone bump into me, i turned around, and my idol was standing there apologizing to me. and, my high school marching band is pregame entertainment at every buffalo bills home game, so iv met all the bills players.

I attended a small dinner meeting at which Phil Hill spoke about his career in about 1990. Plus Drag racing drivers Don Garlitz, Don Prudhomme, Connie Kalitta, Chris Karamesines, etc.

  • Lou Brock handed me a cold beer! Circumstances? I was at a BallBQ benefit at Grant's Farm in StLouis. Mr Brock was in line in front of me, fishing a beer out of the iced down barrels that were placed at various locations.   • I waited on Harry Connick Jr & his wife at a restaurant I work at about 15 years ago. We actually had one of his CDs playing at the time. When I went over to the table he said "Hey, I love the music you guys play here". That's when I noticed who he was. He was a very nice guy and a GREAT tipper!!!

After the performance, my niece (2 at the time) somehow escaped her parents and crawled past security and ended at the Prophet's feet.   • I have met too many to remember, but the two that stand out in my mind are General Norman Schwatzkopf and Lee Greenwood, I saw them both on the same day. I had a casual conversation with Mr. Greenwood, just before Schwatzkopf went by. At first, I did not realize who I was talking with until the conversation ended and my buddies started asking him for autographs.

  • I met Dez Fafara a while ago. I was at a a Devildriver concert, and I knew most of the people that worked at the venue so I got the chance to meet him.

Including a guy who fought Mike Tyson for the heavy weight championship, I picked him up on 125th st. in Harlem. I also saw many big names just walking the street. The drummer from the Police for instance. He was smoking a cigarette outside a place they were having music awards.
  • My daughter gave flowers to Lady Sarah Ferguson when she was Duchess of York. (and she was delightful, despite what the media always said) I have met a lot of Australian rock royalty-Marcia Hines, Jimmy Barnes,Jim Keays, Russell Morris, Doug Parkinson can't remember all of them.
