Yes, I have many times. Have you?

I prefer something I can pull back out of them and reuse. Recycle, baby!!!

My dad, who was an avid fisherman, used minnows all of the time. He had minnow catching net (sort of like the one in the photo) and we would catch them first. He also used nightcrawlers. The ultimate in recycling! He would water the lawn and then we would all go outside that night with flashlights and a bucket and catch them so he had bait.

Yup. A handful of minnows will catch you a bucket full of snappers in July and August where I grew up;)

Yes, but I have found the best luck by hooking them through the tail. That allows them to "swim around" and entice the bigger fish. Good luck!

Yes, when I was young. I would go fishing wish*edit* -with- my Dad and he used minnows once in a while. I hated sticking them on the hook. Through the eyes, quick and easy I guess. But if went fishing today I would use something else. *edit* I guess I 'wish' I could still go fishing 'with' Dad.
