Oh, yeah! My guest's are my guinea pigs! I always try new recipes and let them know in advance that I'm "experimenting" as you put it :) I am a "wizard" in the kitchen, and I just have lots of fun cooking and trying new things +3

Yes, besides they make the best guinea pigs.

All my cooking is an experiment :)

Oh yeah, is there some better way !!! :) I'm confident enough to pull it off. There's no way I'd let my guests go away disappointed, and neither would you !! :)
-
Nearly everything I make is an experiment. I read through cookbooks and recipes online to get a general idea what to do with the ingredients I have on hand, and then change the recipe to fit what I like.

Yes. I almost always cook something new when I have company. 9 of 10 times it comes out good.

Yes i am. It's all trial and error, and if it doesn't turn out right, so what. Always have a plan B. lol
-
Maybe if it was a recipe from CopyKat from a famous restaurant after I had looked at the reviews. Or a recipe from some good recipe sites that had received excellent reviews.
-
Yes, I would try it once or twice before the guests came over though

personally, I just don't think that is very wise. I am very confident, but even I make something new occationally that is just not what i thought it would be.
