Star Wars (original, 1977) is the first I remember, but we went to the movies alot when I was a kid. Also remember seeing a special showing of Fantasia in London in 1977...it was a big deal..they sold books and movie posters as the theatre it was shown in. It was a limited engagement.

The first that I remember seeing in a theatre - well, it was supposed to be Superman (with Christopher Reeves). Unfortunately, it was a double feature and Barbarella (with Jane Fonda) played first... We sat through the movie so that we could eventually see Superman. I was pretty young at the time, so my parents were mortified, even though they sat there trying to play it cool. It was hilarious. One of my fondest memories!

The Day of the Triffids, back in 1962, when I was about 8 years old. Black and white movie, starring Howard Keel, about plant spores that come to Earth in a meteor shower, are able to uproot themselves and walk, and have a deadly poisonous stinger. Scary stuff for an 8-year old, lol.

It was an Aussie movie called Malcome, well we watched it at a drive in cinema. It had a little yellow car in it that could split down the middle and the passenger could drive off in one half of the car while the driver would continue off in the other half....
