  • Not really since it's not loaded and I have no idea where the bullets are. I guess the potential intruder doesn't know that though...
  • No, Having 3 guns at our place makes us feel safe!! *If someone were to break in, we'd have us a good 'ol fashion Turkey Shoot!!
  • I don't have any guns because I live in the UK where guns are illegal unless you have a special licence. If I lived somewhere such as the US I would make sure I had a cupboard full.
  • nop ..
  • Only if you know how to use it.
  • i live in britain and we dont have guns, but i think i would feel safer if i had a gun, ( if i lived in the states) but if someone breaks in, and you pull out a gun, and so do they, then you're in a bad situation. i mean i wouldnt want to take someones life, but i myhself wouldnt want to die, guns are bad mmkay
  • i fell more safe or safer whichever XD
  • Not as much as having the alarm system, a dog, and my golf clubs. I would never leave a loaded gun ANYWHERE in the house; and I think it is irresponsible to do so. So, by the time i put the gun together (yes, i keep it disassembled), loaded it, and fire it, my alarm will have gone off, my dog will have barked her head off and i could have grabbed my nine iron.
  • Yes and no. Provided I have time to load it I would feel I have some recourse. It wouldn't do any good if an intruder got to me or it first. I don't want to have a loaded weapon in my house though.
  • Yes it does. And carrying a concealed weapon makes me feel safe in the streets. Thats not to say I dont feel safe without one. But its good to know its there if I need it.
  • I don't have any guns in the house and I feel safer for that.
  • Depends. For the most part I feel nervous with my husbands vast collection of rifles and bows/arrows. But last year when a black bear was threatening me, I was grateful to have them!
  • No, if you need one to feel that way you are weak. Or you live in a horrible neighborhood where people get shot everyday. But, it's probably the first one.
  • No thanks...
  • I don't think much about "safer;" but I sure don't feel as helpless as I would if I didn't have one, or a dozen guns. And, yes, there are loaded.
  • Nope. I have a gun, but the dogs make me feel safer.
  • I do not have a gun at home. I feel safe enough. I think I would feel uneasy having a gun at home. Having kids in the house and they get into everything.
  • Not per se. Being comfortable in my knowledge and abilities in detering or defending myself, my family, and my property by whatever means at hand makes me feal safe. In fact, should someone break into my house, the very first thing I would do after getting my family moved somewhere safer and initiating contact with the police would be to head for the kitchen. In close quarters, especially in a familiar environment like my own house, a knife is one of the best weapons. And for warding off people, so is any club-like tool which may be available. Both are readily available in abundance in my kitchen. And I know how to use them all. Yes, I have a gun. Yes, i would not hesitate to use it should it be as readily available as everything in my kitchen. And yes, I would get it at the first available opportunity.
  • NO..i dont want a gun in my house are ya nuts lol ..would make me feel the opposite i wouldnt be able to sleep ..:O)
  • I couldn't stay in a house with a gun, I wouldn't feel safe.
