  • No one should be hitting anyone.
  • No & I have seen (on cops) where a woman was arrested for hitting a man. Assault is assault
  • Not really, i mean if a woman was beating on me, and i hit her back ONCE, guess who would get the heavier charge? being the man I would get a heavier charge, givin that society still has some sexist ideal that all women are defensless when REALLY women are just as strong as men are.
  • why would a woman hit a man? I dont think it's right for anyone to allow that kind of behavior, be it a woman or a man.
  • Of course not! No one, male or female should hit anyone! This is a total immature and abusive act no matter who does it.
  • women must not hit man women must know place as servant for man
  • Nope. I wouldn't hit anyone man or woman unless it was in self defense. Or like joking around, in which case it'd be light and not really hitting them :) lol
  • It is not right at all but unfortunately society is slow to catch on to the fact that men are sometimes beaten up by women just like women are beaten up by men sometimes. In general, men are stronger but that is not always the case. Also many men are fearful to defend themselves. I don't care how big you are if you are constantly being slapped, punched or hit with a weapon you can be hurt. It happens all the time. I read an article from a professor on domestic violence against males and the stats were staggering, millions of men are hit each year but there are few police reports because of the social stigma and embarassment men often feel. Far too many women are hurt and beaten by men, it is absolutely terrible and I do believe that occurs in higher numbers than men being beaten by women. However, there are a ton of men who are hit and abused and it is equally as bad. More should be done in this area. No one should hit another person. I also think people need to think about their actions. If a woman initiates assaulting a man, at some point he does have a right to self defense just like she does. I also think you better be careful who you attack. For instance I am 6'2 male who works out fairly regular and I weigh 200 pounds, if someone who was considerably shorter and weighed less attacked me that would not be very smart, but on the other hand let's say I was to assault someone like Shaq O'Neill. Obviously that would be stupidity on my part because he would destroy me. Common sense has got to prevail and the law and society need to catch up with that.
  • They don't get away with it if the victim presses charges.
  • No, I think if a woman hits a man that gives him every right to hit her back.
  • Legally, the domestic violence law applies to either males or females. IF the cops were called, she would be arrested. I know of a couple cases where the woman was arrested. I don't understand why anyone would stay in an abusive relationship......it might take some planning.....but get out. Generally abuse only gets worse. Look out for yourself.
  • Nope. My ex slapped me and my glasses flew off. I didn't press charges. When she shot at me, I did press charges.
  • No, I don't think it's fair but press charges that will work;)
  • He!! no
  • Is it fair? Yes, considering that men have been getting away with it forever. In the interest of fairness, seeing as it used to be legal for men, women should be legally allowed to physically discipline their spouses as they see fit. But this isn't about fairness and equity, is it? It's about right and wrong. Is it right for anyone to hit someone and get away with it? Well I can't exactly provide a blanket answer to that without sufficient specific data pertinent to each isolated incident.
  • No, it's not ok to hit anyone regardless.
  • No, theoretically the law treats it the same way. Realistically they get a break. My mother would beat on my dad. She was 5'11" and he was 5'6".
  • According to the laws in the USA the answer is NO! Now I dont know where you come from "Victory" but you surely need a good bi*ch slap. I think I am just woman enough to do! And gladly serve my time in jail for popping you one right between your legs, that is if you have a set of them and by the read of you you dont!
  • Yeah why not, its not like it ever hurts if a woman hits you. I think often its a defensive measure, the women who do it regularly will end up getting a kicking at some point. I think its more important that some women are not oppressed by men and have a unfair retaliation measure. For all the cases, the majority of violence from women tends to be against other women which they are normally charged for. I consider it a fair injustice...
  • Of course not. That doesn't mean you should hit them back so things are even....
  • My wife used to beat me knowing I would never hit back. I warned her. Then she did it in front of my son. I did not hit back, not wanting to return evil for evil. But in this case, there is nothing evil about divorce, hence she is now my EX wife!
  • Nope, but its definitely the truth. I mean, if a girl slaps a guy in public we all have a good laugh and say he deserves it. If man does the same, he is arrested. This needs to change, there is no doubt about it.
  • No one should get away with hitting anyone.
  • Not if it is done in anger or violence. It is causing Actual Bodily Harm and is a criminal offense. Yes if it is in self-defense. Which unfortunately most women will claim it was if you reported them for it. That is the sad thing.
  • For the record: Since "Justme" is so into this thread: To randomly hit a man no it is not acceptable; however if the bastard hits first you better believe that this female will not go down without having my foot meet his balls!
