Can you mix conventional oil with synthetic? can i top off 4 quarts of synthetic with one quart of conventional?

Yes you can mix the two. If it is performance you are looking for with the synthetic oil then of course mixing the two will diminish the synthetics performance, but other than that.......you're good.
