Has anyone been able to update Motorolla Phone tools past V 5.0?

The latest version IS v5.0. There are beta releases out but not circulating publicly.

Actually just checked and the current version is 5.0.9.6 and there is apparently a bug in it. 5.0.9.7 will be out ASAP to address installation/functionality for the previous release on certain phones.

Thanks for the tip. I was having a lot of problems with my new phone. I got a replacement in and I wanted to transfer all my numbers. Tried the update one last time and it wouldn't work so I used mighty backup because it had a free trial. Waited forever for it to download to the phone, twice(once in the old and once in the new.) Uploaded the info in the old phone, swapped out eh battery, then I tried to download my info to the new phone. Surprise, you could use MightyBackup to upload only, no download. This all happened after I had MPT 4.0 and the tech said it wouldn't update to the version I needed so I bought MPT 5.0 for almost $50 because they assured me it would work. Well, if you are still reading this boring story, don't worry. In my rage, I tried to update one more time and bingo...MPT just released thier new update apparently at that moment and everything transfered. I hate cell phone typing and was considering just keeping a printout of my numbers until they were all entered overtime.
