My Panasonic VCR plays a tape without sound; how can I get it to play with sound?

Two answers: Ensure your VCR is not on mute. And also make sure you have the RCA Cables plugged in properly.

make sure your VCR setting are correct too. try playing another tape as well. if these won't work, call Panasonic or send it to a local tech

And if the RCA cables have been around for a while get a new set ,they seem to give me a lot of problems
