I have been taught that in my first aid classes. Never done it in real life. But I could manage a CPR if the need arises in a first aid situation.

Yes, and i have the certification as well.
-
Yes; and I have had to do so in the past. That said, I wouldn't blame anyone for being confused with the almost annual changes in procedures etc. Availability and uptake of training is the key.
-
No. I was trained in it but that was so many years ago and without any refresher courses, I wouldn't remember how to do it properly.
-
Yes I wuld. I was also just re-certified like 2 weeks ago.

Yes. It might not be axactly by the book but I'm sure it would make a difference. I'm also trained in other aspects of first aid. I was in the infantry.

Yes, I did a first aid course 2 years ago through St Johns. I've never had to do CPR on anyone in real life though so I'm really worried that I'd forget & do it wrong because of panic.

Yes I would. It's been a while since I took the course but I was good at it.

The new rules are 30 reps to 2 breaths, in most cases. Though you have to do atleast 100+ a minute for it to be effective....yes I would know what to do : )
-
Yeah I can and I know the right technique how to do it. I have no problem doing this. AED Batteries http://aedlifepower.com/aed-batteries.html

Yep, have to be trained and certified for my job.
-
Trained for this 13 years ago and managed to damage "Annie" when doing the chest compressions. I turned out to be the dummy. I suppose if it was a matter of life and death I couldn't make things any worse and instinct would kick in.
-
yea I had to perform cpr on my daughter when she was very young and the doctor said it saved her , my father had just shown us days before this took place because he had learned it and said you have kids and you never know when you may need to use cpr on them and for that I was so thankful
-
With my knowledge.. The sucker's gonna die.. :(

Many years ago, Yes I performed CPR in a Ambulance that showed up with only the driver. My friend had a stroke at a young age. The oxygen source was in a suitcase like set up. Every time the driver turned a corner the lid fell shut on the air hose. I was giving CPR and had to stop to open the lid. She died while I was giving her CPR. The driver pulled over on the freeway and tried his best to bring her back. Discovered later there was nothing either one of us could have done. It was an awful experiece however. She was expecting family she hadn't seen in 6 years. My children and I went over to help her get ready and discovered her unconscious, phone in one hand and wet face cloth in the other.
-
yeah. 30:2, 1 compression every .6 seconds.
