The Tucker. Also known as The Tucker Torpedo. It's said that it was one of the most dependable and innovative cars ever built. The only problem was that it was too well made and the big American car companies used some pretty shady tactics to shut down the production of them. I believe only 51 of them were ever made. The car was based around safety and a lot of feature you see in cars today were first conceived in the Tucker. Such as instruments and controls on the steering wheel. There was a movie made about it. Titled Tucker: The Man and His Dream: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096316/ Great movie. Starred Jeff Bridges and directed by Francis Ford Coppola
